US opening

Our customer base consists of enterprise customers with a global footprint. That is why we recently opened a US branch, so that we can serve projects located in the US even better, in the local
customer time zone.

October 8 we had an opening ceremony at the residence of the Dutch Consul.
The ceremony included the opening speech by the Dutch Consul, a speech by our CEO Peter Schepers, signing a covenant for collaborative mobility, and cake and drinks while viewing the STORM motor in the Californian sun.

We also hosted our first US data science hackathon at Stanford University.
The hackathon was based on millions of rows of data, gathered from the STORM motor during their World Tour, and consisted of a simple question: how can we help the STORM team to perform even better?

Team Robert and Shreyas won, their prediction will appear at follow.storm-eindhoven.com and on our weekly blog at Dataconomy. Watch the video below for a short impression of the hackathon.
